TO THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF ONTARIO:

WHEREAS housing, groceries, and gas are unaffordable in Ontario; and

WHEREAS the 5 largest grocery corporations are making record profits; and

WHEREAS rents are unaffordable and the cost of buying a home is out of reach;

THEREFORE WE THE UNDERSIGNED petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario to take immediate action to address the affordability crisis by:

1. Building 250,000 units of affordable housing, including co-ops, social and supportive housing;
2. Mandating that all residential development on public land at Ontario Line stations include 30% affordable units;
3. Take on price-gouging corporations who are making our gas and groceries skyrocket;
4. Keep healthcare public, so people pay for health services with their OHIP card and not their credit card;
